take all your thoughts in your head and turn them upside down golden brown, now you've found a weird place you call home standing still on the sand ready to collapse and the wrongs and the rights the line begins to blur tell me what you're made of is it gold? I got the wrong impression I think it's bronze tell me what you're made of is it gold? I need a new diversion the colours in your brain seem to fade to a distant memory and your friends down the trench have vanished from the scene all the thoughts in your head turning upside down the wrongs and the rights who can really tell? tell me what you're made of is it gold? I wonder what you're doing in this song tell me what you're made of is it bronze? You need a new diversion dance the santa claus samba and believe in a dying scene all these new restorations left you waiting for a new bleep

saturation gives me the creeps down my spine is it better to 'live' or to die for a cause? common sense is a fortress crammed with strict guards stay in line or you're gonna be left all alone (moonia, mooniamaye, moonia) yesterday, maybe I dreamt of a folk band there were fairies with harps instead of arms I think they were tryin' something like a long jam monotonous, yet so beautifully sharp you call me at the bluebird picnic it is the place that belongs to my dream hey Mrs. Rubinstein, what do you need to abuse me? this creature has dopes for a brain tearing the silk with a modular blade was it really a good idea to invite me? (moonia, mooniamaye, moonia) saturation, it gives me the creeps down my spine is it better to live without a cause? and you're going deeper and deeper, but how really deep can you go? always laughing when I tell you the story of the monk this creature has dopes for a brain tearing the silk with a modular blade was it really a good idea to invite me? you call me at your bluebird picnic it is the place that I visit in my dreams hey Ms. Newsom, how much you need to misuse me?

cram the tricksters in the back of the car turn the engine on and let it slide we don't need no Susie Qs can you see the elephant in the room? losing the essence at the prime of our lives staring with ego-tripping eyes now they tied us to the common sense soon we're gonna be forgotten don't you tell me that you've read my mind the only thing you do is satisfy your pride we don't need no Susie Qs neither self-important fools found a place on the edge of the town where I can get around you should do the same for yourself 'cause soon you're gonna be forgotten you love me but you never cared for you love me but you never cared for you love me but you never cared for me oh, baby you love me but you never cared for you love me but you never cared for you love me but you never cared for me oh, darling coming up with superpowers motherfuckers get down on your knees posers, tricksters, midnight downers false credentials by any means
4.
I will follow your footsteps leading me down by the seaside picking the moonbeams to synthesize a custom-made crown and the girls in the abyss will rise just to see your sweet smile muting the silence with carnival welfare songs before the sundown before the sundown please, my darling I hate that sadness in your eyes a friend of mine told me that we're actually born alone and the sons and the daughters will really try to have a good time mourning when this half-day comes to a halt before the sundown before the sundown

Motel Rwanda 05:07
O que é que quando se olha já era um bicho domável ou uma sangrenta fera é a dança do tempo que ninguém comanda e que se for dança essa dança é um samba all the pretty boys would do the locomotion I wonder how they keep up with their own emotion I met a pretty girl who could do the cha-cha I said, "come live with me at Motel Rwanda" all the pretty boys would do the locomotion (locomotion, do your thing) I wonder do they keep up with a new devotion I met a pretty girl who could teach me cha-cha (cha-cha) she said, "why can't we leave Motel Rwanda?" O que é que quando se olha já era um bicho domável ou uma sangrenta fera é a dança do tempo que ninguém comanda e que se for dança essa dança é um samba (shoot to ah, ah, shoot to the core) we leave Motel Rwanda we leave Motel Rwanda

for all the absent lovers I think I've got a story to tell she was a lonesome priestess and he was enchanted by her spell "come and live by my side I'll sing to you all day long we'll cause a chain reaction find a place to call our own" "the way she sings, I got to defy the facts patience, my siren, soon I will reach the sun" he started building something a capsule with protection sheets failure after failure nothing could withstand the heat she couldn't leave her people her place was with Sun-Ra "such a shame, my love I'll never leave the palace in the sun" "take your dreams and bury them down the trash there's no chance to feel my touch" "all those hollow promises thoughts of everlasting bliss I think I left them backseat where there's peace in my mind but the leaves in the trees they bring her voice to my ears evil breeze, can you see that I will burst into tears? apart forever, not a thing can be done I say goodbye" all his hopes were buried down the trash and her songs became too sad
7.
better call it quits but I see your face shining in the dark like a falling star I restore my faith laughing and crying is it all the same? it's the balance that counts, pretty baby now day after day (everyday) 'cause nothing really matters when I look into your eyes and nothing really bothers me when I believe your lies all those walking sharks tryin' on their smiles they don't give a damn about us, pretty baby no leading their boring lives (boring lives) but nothing seems to matter when I look into your eyes and nothing really bothers me when I believe your lies 'cause nothing really matters when I look into your eyes and nothing really bothers me when I believe your lies

Amarousion 06:37
in the streets where you have grown someone robbed you of a precious thing you owned and left you there, breathing still tell me Jane, what did you see? you were busking underneath a yellow tree hopeless smile, lonesome tears darker times were out of reach now they've found us with a nightmarish twist don't be scared in my dreams I try to hide from a monster bereft of any pride is it me? is it you? and all those loco people making up a sad refrain they have to sing it slowly, in keeping with their empty heads so prematurely, we forget the things that matter the most tell me child, what do you seek? have you found the yellow purple willow tree? easy now those crowded streets, like buzzing flies you set the tone gazing at the velvet skies haunted rhymes, long goodbyes all those lonesome people making up a sad refrain they have to sing it quietly, in keeping with their empty heads and you come shouting loudly, creeping down this empty road "I am left with nothing, but I shall try to save my soul" and all those loco people making up a sad refrain they have to sing it slowly, in keeping with their empty heads so prematurely, we disguise ourselves as faceless, silent lambs

about

Baby Guru's fourth proper LP finds the band as a quartet and willing to push the boundaries once again, delivering their richest set of songs to date, both musically and lyrically.

They remain open to new directions without forgetting their roots and trademark sound and they seem mature enough to convey their feelings and thoughts on everyday struggle, (cosmic) unfulfilled romances, the illusions of fame, half-forgotten dreams, imaginary folk bands and disco freaks. "IV" is a hymn to group life and the work of four childhood friends who are seeking genuine forms of expression in a cold-hearted world.

“IV” is out on clear vinyl LP, CD and digital album from Inner Ear.

about

Baby Guru Athens, Greece

Baby Guru is an ever-evolving musical organism consisting of four childhood friends. Tired of the typical rock band thing, they lay emphasis on spontaneity and unexpected inspiration, while they cultivate an obsession with the kraut rock legacy, pop melodies, psychedelic music and mama Africa percussion experiments. Baby Guru are: Prins Obi, King Elephant, Sir Kosmiche and Kon Kon. ... more
