dragged by the weight of the stone staring at the fading lights can you see the sign on the wall kissing you goodbye? attracted by the easy beat craving for the big, big change you're so desperate, what's the matter baby? your style was perfect in the first place when you're crying out for help I can feel you, but is this your little breakaway? have you seen through their disguise and you found out that there is no funny crowded place? when you're walking on the tides have they told you that the deepest ocean lies beneath your mind? dragged by the weight of the stone gazing at the city lights have you noticed the sign of the times kissing you goodbye? driven by a lousy beat labyrinths inside your head praying all the time, wishing for the bad trip to come to an end when you're crying out for help I can feel you, but is this your little breakaway? have you seen through their disguise and you found out that there is no funny crowded place? when you're walking on the tides have they told you that the deepest ocean lies beneath your mind?

baby, you're so weird talking to yourself at night
wish you could believe wish you could tranquilize your mind
all the other girls seem to be on top of you
lying on the beach you exploded way too soon save yourself and please come back to me
break it down, is it so hard to see (the truth)? baby, you're so weird speaking in a different tongue
now you're someone else I wonder what you're doing in this song
all the other girls seem to be on top of you
talking to yourself you exploded way too soon save yourself and please come back to me
break it down, is it so hard to see (the truth)? save yourself and please come back to me
break it down, is it so hard to see (the truth)?

Exegesis 03:36
κάποια μέρα θα 'ρθεις ξανά να μου γνέψεις σαν τη πρώτη φορά το κεφάλι θα 'ναι σκυφτό και οι ελπίδες θα παίζουν κρυφτό Sally Princess, what have you done? place their freedom into a jar bring it slowly, silence the voice they will fall down, leave them no choice όταν έρθεις, κοίτα καλά μες στα μάτια, στοχαστικά bring it slowly, leave them no choice they will fall down, silence the voice

Marginalia 03:49
for the bright ones and the dark ones, there's a song that can send their sentiments around the globe I can teach you all the things you have to say when the walls are crumbling down and you've lost your way spinning backwards, moving forward, find the light when you came here, you seemed way down the line I can teach you all the things you're afraid to say when the walls are crumbling down and you've lost your way those humans can't really take it they seek shelter in the shady grove reach for the sky, but all they find is the void those fuzzy creatures like it they seem to float in the middle of a cloud and you can find your piece of mind, darara, run to me those humans can't really take it they seek shelter in the shady grove reach for the sky, but all they find is the void those fuzzy creatures like it they seem to float in the middle of a cloud and you can find your piece of mind, darara, run to me
5.
Behaviour 03:24
have you ever seen the beauty? it is not exactly beauty, it just made you feel alive so rise above your problems drifting through the daydream, catch your breath and learn to shine have they told you about your heroes? they were not exactly heroes, they were human beings in pain living through the nighttime consumed by their sorrow and defined by their shame we lost it, drowning in fantasies feeling the echoes creeping down our spine false pretense, natural harmony silent devotion struck us blind now that you came here I wonder what you're dealing with, you seem a little sad is it my behaviour? am I the intruder that is driving you mad? we lost it, drowning in fantasies feeling the echoes creeping down our spine false pretense, natural harmony silent devotion struck us blind we lost it, drowning in fantasies feeling the echoes creeping down our spine false pretense, natural harmony silent devotion struck us blind

Explain 02:12
Christine, how many boyfriends you can count that couldn't touch your soul and left you down and out? Christine, how many lies can you accept? floating downstream, it is such a mess sounds from the other side doesn't make a difference they vanish out of sight things I cannot explain buzzing like a monologue outside the frame Christine, give me time to explain my feelings could be yours, but you threw them down the drain Christine, it is time for me to go you really clipped my wings, put on your gown things I cannot refuse doesn't make a difference it's the life you have to choose things I cannot explain buzzing like a monologue in pictures I can frame

we were pushed down in the hole of past regrets and fears we really had no time to breathe but now the time has come to let these feelings go to find a silly substitute for hope phony pictures on the wall I could live there out of sight have you vanished from the scenery of time? let this quarrel shake your eyes I can't lie it anymore now we need some space to call our own we were dragged down in the hole of loneliness and grief we really had no time to think but now the time has come to let these feelings go to find a modern substitute for hope let this quarrel shake your eyes I can't lie it anymore now we need some space to call our own phony pictures on the wall I could live there out of sight have you vanished from the scenery of time?

Two Days Ago 04:13
two days ago, two days ago two days ago, you promised your heart to me two days ago, two days ago two days ago, you promised your heart to me two days ago, two days ago two days ago, you promised your heart to me two days ago, two days ago two days ago, you promised your heart to me (δυο μέρες πριν) two days ago, two days ago (δυο μέρες πριν) two days ago, you promised your heart to me (δυο μέρες πριν) two days ago, two days ago (δυο μέρες πριν) two days ago, you promised your heart to me two days ago, two days ago two days ago, you promised your heart to me two days ago, two days ago two days ago, you promised your heart to me and all the headlights turned us blind but can you feel it baby? now I can see through your disguise it's not the way we're used to you build a garden in your grave you build a garden to keep me sane you build a garden in your grave you build a garden to keep me sane you build a garden in your grave you build a garden to keep me sane you build a garden in your grave you build a garden to keep me sane and all the headlights turned us blind but can you feel it baby? now I can see through your disguise it's not the way we're used to

these notions floating around they nearly make me bleed strange colours, deafening sounds a symmetry of dying leaves I see you spinning around I got a turtle heart that waits to be crowned I wake up, feeling so sad I cannot retreat gazing at the sheltering sky for some kind of relief I sit down on the ground I got a racing heart that has to slow down one thought leads to the other can we tell when the schemer has to lie? sad-eyed we wait for the summer praying for the pale moon to shine a cup of magical tears will keep us safe safe from suffering we reached for the final border giving out but never giving in one thought leads to the other can we tell when the schemer has to lie? sad-eyed we wait for the summer praying for the pale moon to shine a cup of magical tears will keep us safe safe from suffering we reached for the final border giving out but never giving in

Anticipation 04:39
now I know what to say because the sun stopped shining upon you all the time, I'm waiting for your call baby all the time, I'm waiting for your call baby all the time, I'm waiting for the signs in the sky all the time, I'm looking at the stars shining bright all the time, I'm waiting for your call baby (take a minute to think about this stuff, never look ahead) all the time, I'm waiting for your call baby (take a minute to think about this stuff, never look ahead) all the time, I'm waiting for the signs in the sky (take a minute to think about this stuff, never look ahead) all the time, I'm looking at the stars shining bright (take a minute to think about this stuff, never look ahead) come on can we fake it? do you think we can work things out? can we fake it? do you think we can work things out?

you make me feel alright, sometimes baby you make me feel alright, sometimes you make me feel alright, sometimes baby you make me feel alright, sometimes you make me feel alright, sometimes baby you make me feel alright, sometimes you make me feel alright, sometimes baby you make me feel alright, sometimes most of the times, you just make me sad most of the times, you just make me mad most of the times, you just make me sad you make me feel alright, sometimes baby you make me feel alright, sometimes keep the grace and your friends from above that keep you satisfied may the lord and his kingdom come don't let it take you by surprise most of the times, you just make me sad most of the times, you just make me mad most of the times, you just make me sad most of the times, you just make me mad baby, baby, baby, baby baby, baby, baby, baby I can't help this hazy feeling hanging around with you I can't help this hazy feeling hanging around with you I can't help this hazy feeling hanging around with you with you, with you

about

One year and a half after the European release of “Pieces” Baby Guru return with their luggage full of enthusiastic reviews, unforgettable experiences from their live performances in Greece and abroad but most of all full of brand new music. Their third album “Marginalia” is set for release across Europe in March 2014 and is the band's most ambitious work to date.

“Marginalia” doesn’t thrive in the margins, but justifies its title with a never-ending expansion of the mind and body through its musical substance. Prins Obi, King Elephant and Sir Kosmiche are, as always, the exclusive creators of the album (composition, production, arrangement, recording) and with the help of the band’s unofficial fourth member (Christina) they attempt to fuse high quality pop with synthesizer music and riveting grooves. The album was mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound, New York. 11 tracks create a cohesive whole, brimming with lyricism, electrifying, atmospheric sounds and irresistible hooks. Among them a little surprise: the first Baby Guru track sung in their native language.

“Marginalia” is out on cd, vinyl including bonus cd and digital album from Inner Ear.

about

Baby Guru Athens, Greece

Baby Guru is an ever-evolving musical organism consisting of four childhood friends. Tired of the typical rock band thing, they lay emphasis on spontaneity and unexpected inspiration, while they cultivate an obsession with the kraut rock legacy, pop melodies, psychedelic music and mama Africa percussion experiments.
